Spanish language

The Spanish language (also known as Castilian) is the third most spoken language (after Mandarin Chinese and English) in the world and also ranks as the second-most used language in the Internet and has the second-most number of native speakers. Spanish belongs to the Romance family of languages that includes Portuguese, Italian and French. This language is natively spoken in 21 countries namely Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. It is also natively spoken in Puerto Rico, a United States territory.

Given the demographics of the Spanish language, it is easy to say that the Spanish-speaking world holds a very large portion of the world market. On a social level, Spanish speakers are also among the majority. For any person who either wants to have a wider range of career options or have better chances at meeting and getting to know new people, learning the Spanish language is an excellent idea.
